Built by one family, for families
Familjekollen didn't start as a product – it started as a fix for our own everyday life.
We're a family with two children. A few years ago it became clear that one of them needed more structure in daily life than we could keep track of in our heads, and we took some parenting courses where a lot of the talk was about what can make the days easier – for the children and for us. Healthcare can offer certain aids, but that requires further assessment. I started thinking about building something myself at home: a screen with checklists for mornings and evenings, so we could stop nagging. We had an old tablet gathering dust – we put it up in the hallway. Suddenly the kids could work through what needed doing before bed on their own. That's where it all began.
That question came every single day at pickup from preschool and school. So we started planning the week's dinners on Sundays and connected the school lunch menu. Now everyone knows what's for dinner – less whining, less stress.
Step by step. We connected the school calendar and the football team's practice and match times. My wife and I connected our work calendars, so we can see when one of us is working away or has meetings – and plan dentist appointments and everything else around that. The app has a whole pile of services; some suit us, some don't. You simply pick the ones you need.
